Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable Commercial Glazing Technician to play a hands-on role in the successful execution of our commercial glazing projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, values teamwork, and thrives in active, fast-paced construction environments.  They will work closely with foremen, project managers, and fellow tradespeople to install, repair, and service glass and glazing systems in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial projects, develop technical expertise, and contribute directly to the quality and reputation of our work in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, replace, and repair glass and glazing systems on commercial construction projects, including storefronts, curtain wall systems, entrances, windows, and interior glass assemblies.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate installation.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install glass, mirrors, aluminum framing, and related glazing materials.
  • Safely handle, transport, and install glass of varying sizes and thicknesses using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Install and seal glass using proper glazing methods, sealants, gaskets, and fasteners to ensure weather-tight and secure assemblies.
  • Coordinate work with foremen, project managers, and other trades on job sites to meet project schedules and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
  • Identify and report jobsite issues, material shortages, damage, or discrepancies to supervision in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite-specific safety requirements.
  • Properly use, care for, and maintain tools, equipment, lifts, and company vehicles (if applicable).
  • Perform service work, adjustments, and punch-list items as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with general contractors, inspectors, and customers.

Qualifications:
  • Safely lift and move objects on a construction site with good awareness of general safety guidelines.
  • Work in all weather conditions in both winter and summer.
  • Safely drive a fleet vehicle with fragile materials.
  • Install glass and metal structural components according to shop drawing specifications.
  • Comfortable with working from various heights.
